Hey, everyone! Welcome back to my blog! I'm very excited! Next week we celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday! We are going to have a BLAST!
Dr. Seuss is a beloved children’s book author. He was born March 2, 1904. He’d be 115-years old if he were alive today!
All week we will be celebrating! Monday is Crazy Socks Day as we celebrate Dr. Seuss’s book, Fox in Socks. Tuesday we share Dr. Seuss’s Book of Colors, by wearing our favorite color. On Wednesday make sure you wear mismatched clothes as we share one of Dr. Seuss’s silliest books, Wacky Wednesday! Thursday we put on something from a favorite place we have visited, as we read one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books, Oh, The Places You Will Go! Finally, Friday we all wear red and white as we honor Dr. Seuss’s, The Cat in the Hat! There will be a celebration on Friday, so come prepared to have loads of fun!
As you prepare to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Take some time to read his books and share them with your family! We have plenty of books here for you to borrow! I have them displayed for you all around the media center. If you want to find out more about Dr. Seuss and his books, head over to Seussville! Just visit my resource page and click on the link!
