Hello everyone! I'd like to share what we have been doing recently. My classes have just finished a unit using Ozobots. These little robots are really fun to use! First let me give a shout out to Wilson's outstanding coders! Each class, worked together in groups to retell the story I read to them. Students illustrated, narrated, and wrote the color code for their Ozobot to follow which moved it through the story. Each group's coded posters were connected together for the Ozobot to follow, videoed and published to YouTube.com. Links to these videos will be sent home so that parents and guardians can view student work! Nice job, everyone!
On March 2nd we celebrated Dr. Seuss's Birthday and kicked off our Read Across America Week! Our theme was "Wilson Students are Wild About Reading" and students had a blast learning about the rain forest. Students read Dr. Seuss books in our own rain forest using finger lights. They played rain forest bingo, learned about different animals that make the rain forest their home, and learned some fun facts, too! We even had a surprise appearance from a well loved character...GiGi! I would like to thank our guest readers who came to read to us! What a fun week!
