Time to Spare?

Sorry folks, this time I'm sending out a quick entry from pure self-interest. A school library media center is only as good as its volunteers! Believe me when I say I have some wonderful volunteers who come in every week or when they can. They help students find books on the shelves or with using the online catalog. Some of my volunteers prefer to check out the books while the teachers help their students. Our volunteers are also in charge of shelving books and keeping the library shelves neat and orderly. Unfortunately, sometimes our students leave the shelves in some disarray!

You may not know this, but I am not with your children when they come in to book borrow. I only see what your children borrow when the books are returned. This makes the job of my volunteers so important. You are the extra helpful hands for teachers and students. If you have some time, why don't you come join our team of volunteers. The students love to see you and your time spent with us is greatly appreciated!
